• As part of becoming a Bat Mitzvah and enjoying the privileges of being almost a teenager, I recognize that it also comes with accountability and gratitude.

I am fortunate to have my family, friends and everything I need. But I also recognize that not everyone is as fortunate and that many do struggle with being able to provide basic needs for their families.

As you know, I have a special connection to Israel and for my Bat Mitzva Project, I am raising money for an amazing cause called The "Food Card Israel". There are many families in Israel with kids, single parents and senior citizens that cannot afford basic food products especially as a result of the global pandemic.

The "Food Card Israel" is an organization that provides a food card that can be used in many supermarkets and different types of grocery vendors. One of the reasons I like this organization is that the people using the card are not singled out as needy or poor individuals but can use the card like everyone else to get food necessities for their kids and families with dignity and respect.

A link to my project was sent to everyone in the Paperless Post Invitation. It would mean so much to me if you can make a contribution, even $18 dollars, which goes a long way for the families in need. As it says in the Talmud, "Tzedakah and acts of kindness are the equivalent of all the mitzvot of the Torah combined!" therefore such a small act of kindness could be so powerful.

Thank you so much for your support!
